Inspired by the evolution of coffee culture around the world, this brand design tells the story of how coffee became the global phenomenon that it is today. Coffee has a rich history; beans were once smuggled across borders and coffee houses were epicentres for distilling news and knowledge.
The brand’s illustrated logo alludes to the biblical story of Eve and the apple to reference coffee’s secrete trade history and its association to the sharing of knowledge and information. The brand colour compliment the story with swatches derived from roasted beans and the coffee plant. The typefaces are inspired by print news media and hand written notes whereas the icon set and pattern represent traditional brewing methods from around the world.
